That’s right! WE WON!!! Elijah had his first official ball game last night and we WON!!! Someone asked what the score was after the game and then said, “But it’s not really the score that matters, is it?” I have a feeling that the kids on the team would have felt a little differently if you’d have asked them. Of course the score matters! What happened to being excited because you WON a game that your worked hard to play? While I understand that you can’t be a poor winner and rub it in the face of the other team, there is nothing wrong with celebrating a good win. ]
I think we’ve maybe some of todays problems in society stem from the fact that we don’t celebrate enough. Sure, it’s important that they have fun and enjoy the journey, but victory is sweet and God saw fit to make us emotional people who like to celebrate. Why not put that to practice?
I mean, if you want the ultimate picture of a celebration, just look at the Bible. The way I read it, Heaven is going to be one big party! HUGE!!! It’s a wedding celebration with a wedding feast. The angels already celebrate when someone becomes a believer. It’s kind of like celebrating an engagement – it’s exciting, it’s wonderful, and it gives us a hope that the best is yet to come. But as amazing as that celebration is going to be, when Jesus finally comes for His bride, WOW!!! Talk about a celebration! And there won’t be any drunk uncles or embarrassing stories, or horrid mother-in-laws (disclaimer: I have a WONDERFUL mother in law – I’m speaking for those who don’t) to deal with. It’s going to be a HUGE, WONDERFUL, SPECTACULAR CELEBRATION!!!
So, I say while we’re here on earth, we kick up our heels a bit. We get some practice in and start warming up for the celebration that awaits us.

I love this! Yes, let’s celebrate … everything from the littlest events to the biggest accomplishments!! I’m all about that .. you’re absolutely right.
