My top 100 things to do before I die… May 8, 2008
I’m going to make a list. A list of things that I want to do before I die. 100 things at least. I am *not* going to finish this list tonight. But my comment last night about Cirque Du Soliel and posts by her and her and probably a few others that I read made me decide that I should make my own list. I’m not sure how far I’ll get tonight, but there is no time to start by the present.
- Finish this list!
- See Cirque Du Soleil live.
- Visit NYC.
- Take my kids on a real vacation that doesn’t involve visiting family.
- Go to Disney World.
- Write a book.
- Go on a safari in Africa.
- Visit Australia and New Zealand.
- Visit all of the MLB ballparks
- Visit all 50 United States.
- Eat authentic Italian food - in Italy!
- Go to The Masters.
- Have a book that I write published.
- Shower in a waterfall.
- Drive across America.
- Spend Christmas somewhere tropical.
- Lose 40 pounds.
- Go for a hike in the woods.
- Go geocaching.
- Plant a tree.
- Golf with my husband.
- See a tornado (but hopefully not up close).
- Fly a kite.
- Reach 500 readers on my blog in one day.
- Send a card to someone for no reason at all.
- Make something new for dinner that we’ve never had before and is a bit outside the box.
- Get my own domain name for my blog.
- Host my own blog (more from wordpress.com to wordpress.org)
- Learn to knit.
- Have a regular date night with my husband - even if it’s at home after the kids are in bed.
- Start a regular family night before my kids are too old to appreciate it.
- Have an article or short story published.
- Buy a GREAT pair of shoes. (this is harder than most people think).
- Blog for 100 days straight.
Ok, I’m a third of the way done. That’s the easy part. The part that I can just jot off without thinking about too hard. The rest of it isn’t going to be quite so easy.

Great List. I’ve seen many posts about the “list” good job.
Hey for that great pair of shoes and to knock off visiting one of the great states go to Perfect Pair in Boise Idaho ! Good Luck in all you do !!!
#17 should be easy. Just do one a year for the next 40 years!
I can help you with #28 - for FREE. I found a free webhost that I host my cooking wordpress site on, so I know that it works.
I like your idea. Oh and about one of your Twitters from earlier today…I have a daughter that can draw really, really well. You have a kids book, I have a kid the can draw. Maybe we could put the two together??? Something to consider. Oh and I really want to do the MLB parks too. That would be on my list.
As for the family night- just get started :o) Before we even had kids, Glenn and I had a family night on Mondays- just a night where we played games (cards, board games, etc.) Then along came the kids, and we kept that up- last year, we changed it to Friday night (the kids can stay up later that way), and now we take turns so that each family member chooses the meal we eat (very simple that night- tonight was my night and we had hot dogs and tater tots), and we have a “treat” (dessert- tonight was cookies). The person whose turn it is also chooses the games, or activities (tonight- this evening, we went to the city park).
I can help you with the knitting part…just say the word!
