Well, I was wrong about the quiet day. A church member lost her husband today. They had gone over to the VA hospital/drs office in Danville because he was certain he had a blot clot in his leg. While sitting there he said he felt better like it wasn’t there anymore. He died in the drs office from a pulmonary embolism because the clot broke loose and lodged in his lung. So sad. I think we are all pretty much still in shock over the whole thing.
Otherwise, it was a fairly normal day. Had t-ball/baseball tonight and the kids did really well in their games. Chip’s mom and dad came up and we had dinner (taco salad) between the games. Chip’s mom watched the kids for a while so we could run over and see Pauline and after we got the kids in bed he ran up and dropped his suit off at the dry cleaners so it would be back on time for the funeral this weekend.
Tomorrow we have to wait for the funeral home to call and then we have to go to Decatur. We need to pick up Chip’s suit and have to get Father’s Day gifts for the dads at church on Sunday. I’m not even going to attempt to say that tomorrow will be a quiet day because every time I do something goes awry.
