My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

We had an interesting opportunity last night.  My husband took it upon himself about a month ago to organize a dinner with some other A/G pastors in our area.  We’re friendly enough with all of them, but only know most of them on a surface level.  So, last night we went out for dinner with three other pastors and their wives and had a great time.  The fellowship was amazing and if the restaurant hadn’t been closing, I think we could have easily talked for another hour.  We definitely plan on doing it again sometime after the holidays.

Tonight, Kait’s having her birthday party and sleepover.  Should be interesting, but she’s sooo excited.  It’s so hard to believe that she’s going to be 6 on Monday.  She’s just so grown up and smart and beautiful, but I’ll save that post for Monday.  We’re going to have a fire and roast hot dogs and do s’mores and play outside after dark and run them around until it’s time to drop.  Chip’s parents and possible Granny are going to come up for it to celebrate as well.  She’s got Strawberry Shortcake dessert plates & napkins, a special SSC cup just for her and a SSC ice cream cake for dessert.  And once she finds out that we got her the one SSC doll (Coco Calypso) that is IMPOSSIBLE to find unless you get it on eBay, she’s going to flip completely.  I love birthdays and can’t wait for the festivities to begin!
