My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

We ended up back in the ER today.  This time it was for Seth.  He woke up yesterday with his eye a little gunky and by last night it was still swelling.  This morning it was swollen almost completely shut.  So, after his nap (no sense taking him crabby), we got ourselves ready and headed to the ER.

Thankfully this time we were in and out of the ER in less than an hour.  Seth has pink eye – poor little guy!  He looks pitiful but really isn’t feeling too badly.  We got some drops for his eyes (he’s going to love that), so hopefully he’ll be good as new in a few days.

The older kids were all up and getting ready by 7am today.  They were heading down to Cahokia to help Chip’s brother and his family move into their new house.  Unfortunately the other people still hadn’t moved out (although they closed yesterday) and they had just gotten the keys at 5:30ish.  I had asked Chip’s mom to try and have them home by 8 or 8:30 at the latest since we have church tomorrow, but it’s NOT going to happen.  I just hope they are able to get things settled up quickly with the former owners.

That was my exciting Saturday.  I”ll most likely put Chip and Seth in bed early tonight and fold some laundry and do some dishes while I wait for the kids to get home.  I have a feeling it’s going to be a long night for all of us.
