My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

Chip and I had another “good” day at the hospital.  Well, as good as you can have in a hospital anyway.  We watched the end of Season 2 of Seinfeld, Return to Me, and he was just starting LOTR:Return of the King when I was leaving.  He was hoping to watch a bit of it, but was so tired he wasn’t sure he would be able to.

This morning the dr told Chip that a pulmonary specialist comes to that particular hospital on Tuesdays.  While I really, really, really want to believe that Chip will come home tomorrow, I’m trying not to get my hopes up so I’m not disappointed if he has to stay another night. His night nurse said that usually when a dr says something like that it means the patient will be there until at least that day.  She said I would be wise to just bring anything he might need tomorrow since she would bet he’ll be staying another night. *sigh*

I’m tired and going to bed.  I spent a good amount of time today figuring out what I’m learning from this situation, but I’ll share that in the morning or tomorrow afternoon (MIL works in the hospital so I may get online for a bit if Chip naps) when my head is more clear.  Elijah & Kait are at a friends house tonight, Seth & Noah are heading up to bed now.  Chip’s sister-in-law will be coming in the morning to help with the kids until Chip gets home.  His parents have been an immense help to us.  I could go on forever in the ways that we’ve been blessed through this whole situation.  God’s got a plan in all of this and we’re putting our trust in Him.
