My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

We got Elijah to camp today, got him all checked into his room, his money in the bank and his meds with the nurse.  The guy leading up his part of the camp said, “Hey, let’s go find your counselor” and my son just walked away and threw a “See ya” and a short wave over his shoulder and ran out the door.  He was ready for camp, I’m just not sure I was. *big sigh*

Awe!   You’re doing something right!   I think its a positive sign when kids can separate from their parents at a certain age without a lot of fuss!  He’s growing up!

It truly does go fast.  Em’s going into grade 9.  She is 5’8″ tall and still growing.  She’s shot up this year at least 4 inches.  Enjoy them while you can Bek, she’s already talking about what she’s going through for at college and working out how she’s going to do it.  It was only 2 years ago that we met you and she was so much younger and smaller.  Now I have to make sure that she has keys to get into the house while we’re out and she has her plans.
