My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

Sorry it took so long.  Call it laziness on my part.  Or call it recovering from vacation. I’ve heard it said and said it myself that often you get home and find that you need a vacation from your vacation before you can jump back into work.  We did that this week – we continued our vacation even though we were home.  It was nice and we were able to make some good memories and enjoy doing the things we like.  The kids loved that we were home – especially Seth.  Today, I’m catching up on a few things, working for the church to get stuff ready, starting school again (with *lots* of drama from Kait), etc…  I feel slightly prepared to jump back into the swing of things.

Anyway, here are the long awaited pictures from October and our trip to Nashville

I know this one is hard to see, but at the beginning of the month, we had Chip’s mom & dad, brother and family over for a cookout.  They brought us a bag of bread from Panera and Seth managed to pick the longest baguette out of the bag to tote around with him…

Seth got a little bored on our way to Nashville – see the book on his head?..

We stopped at the Elk & Bison Prairie in Land Between the Lakes Park near Cadiz,KY on our way down and saw some elk & bison…

That Friday in Nashville, we went to Shoney’s for the lunch buffet (we wanted Waffle house but they are just *not* set up for a family of 6).  Elijah made himself a big smile out of the melon…

We ended up at Stones River National Battlefield – the site that eventually led to the major battles in the Nashville area.  They had a cool cannon outside the museum…

It was also home to the one of the oldest Civil War memorials in the country…

Seth was done long before the rest of us…

On Saturday, I let the kids take some pictures while we were at The Factory – an old converted factory that has changed into stores and restaurants and such…

After we were done there, we went to Radnor Lake – where Kait went a little overboard with the pictures of the turtles.  I’ll spare you the majority of them, but here are a couple shots…

That’s it’s for our trip to Nashville.  I’ll be back either later today or tomorrow with pics from Wisconsin and Chicago.

    nifty pictures!

I have a wife picked out for Seth!   He’s my favorite little boy to see pictures of, and my favorite little girl is Rebekah, Samjag’s girl!  I think we should plan a rearranged marriage!!
