My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

After dinner last night, which he didn’t eat, Noah started throwing up.  Chip’s parents were heading this way, so they brought him some Sierra Mist.  Apparently they must have said something to his sister-in-law because she called shortly after they left to let us know that her son was having the same thing.  Thankfully he seems to be over the worst of it now though.

Unfortunately, that is probably just the beginning of the winter cold & flu season in our house.  I know some people would say I don’t even need to put that out there, but let’s face it – in a house of 6 people at least one of us is going to get sick at least once this winter.  More likely, one person will get it and it will run it’s course through the rest of us.  That’s not being negative, it’s being realistic.  And if not one of us gets sick between now and next April, I think we deserve some sort of award or recognition or something.  Keeping 6 people healthy for that long would be nothing short of a miracle.

That would be beyond a miracle! As a family of 7, we have never and I mean NEVER gone all winter without someone getting something.

I hope Noah is feeling better soon. Cassie threw up yesterday morning but was absolutely fine after that. She ate a ton all day and was running around like a mad child. I am glad it was short and sweet whatever it was.
