My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

I am so proud of my kids!  They had their Christmas program at our church this morning and did really well with their parts.  Even Kait had a speaking part and did such a great job!  Noah did a great job with his part – he really only had to sing one line of a song as a solo and hold up a heart.  At one point during the program, apparently he pulled one of his sisters socks out of his sweater and handed it to the leader of  the program.  Guess I need to buy some more fabric softener!  Here are some pictures from this morning…

The whole cast – Elijah is stealing the crown off the head of one of the wise men (who is only 5 and did a SPECTACULAR job with his lines)…

Seth did ok sitting with me.  But with the other kids up on stage and Chip’s mom at the piano, he really didn’t want to sit with me at all.  Doesn’t he look big with his haircut?

Chip did a great job with his mini-sermon and people really enjoyed it.  He read part of the story “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” and then talked about how the problem with the Grinch was that his heart was shrunken and hardened.  It was a great tie-in for Christmas and one of the more original Christmas messages that I’ve heard.  One week to go!  Merry Christmas everyone!  Let the fun begin!
