My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

Kait woke up sick this morning.  She said she didn’t feel good last night, but we thought she was stalling.  She looked fine, didn’t have a fever, etc…  This morning, she woke up with crusty eyes and a stuffy nose.  As the day progressed, she’s developed a fever and had a headache and been hot/cold off and on.

As if that’s not bad enough, she was supposed to go to one of her best friend’s birthday party tonight.  She’s begging me through tears to let her go, but I just can’t.  She understands why we can’t let her go, but it’s still hard.  She just wants to go and have fun with her friends, even if it means sitting curled up in a chair and watching everyone else play she said.

It’s so hard to see her feeling so puny.  She’s always so full of life and when she’s sick, it’s so obvious because she hardly moves and is so quiet.  And when she has to miss something important to her because of being sick, it’s even worse.  My poor Kati-bear!

Carly went through that right before Christmas. She missed school on the day of the Christmas party and church the next evening with the kids Christmas party. She was very sad too. I hate it when kids get sick like that. Hope she feels better soon-let her know I have more clothes for her.

Praying that she’ll get better soon.
