My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

They got my sister transferred and all settled in up in Milwaukee.  She prepared herself to let the baby come.  But the magsulfate and some pain meds did the trick and her blood pressure was brought under control.  Which in turn stopped the contractions.  It’s been the required how many ever hours is necessary and they are releasing her to go home.  She’ll be staying at my mom’s so she’s under 24 hour supervision and she’ll try to make it to 37 weeks.  I sooo do not envy her situation, but I’m glad that Wesley has decided to stay put for at least a while longer.  Thanks for all the prayers!

I’m so glad things have turned around for her.  I will be keeping her and her little blessing in my prayers!

RYC: I’m so bad at math trying to do times tables might just frustrate me, ha ha. That’s a good idea, though. I’m working on mental imagery of what is going on within my body…muscles contracting, cervix dilating, etc. I want to picture that and try to work with my body instead of just trying to distract myself from it. Did you watch the video of the hypnobirth I posted? It’s totally awesome. I don’t dread birth at all! It’s going to be awesome, even if it’s a lot of hard work.

I’m so happy for your sister. Every day that she can wait helps her baby, so that’s great. I’ll continue to pray for her safety, health and comfort!
