My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

Please don’t let the power go out… January 29, 2008

When we left the house at 1:55 today, it was 62 degrees outside and the sun was shining. I remember because my sunglasses were still on my head when I laid down on the table and the fell on the floor.

When we left the chiro an hour later, the temp had dropped 20 degrees and it was pouring rain. Since we were gone all day yesterday, we had left our erranding for today. By the time we got up to Decatur, the rain had turned to ice and we abandoned most of our plans. We went to Kroger and came home.

By the time we got home the temps had dropped another 20 degrees and it was an ice snow mix. That’s right the temps dropped 40 degrees in 3.5 hours!

And we got home just on time. We just got word that they’ve closed the road we take to get home from the store! The cable is out (thus our internet – have I said how much I love my phone?) and the power is flickering. We’re holding our breath and saying a prayer that all will be well by the time this blows over sometime around midnight.
