My Mundane Musings

Growing up I longed for the fast paced life of big city life and corporate America. Now I’m a stay at home mom of 4 in a small rural community! And I wouldn’t have it any other way! (At least for now).

Completely outnumbered… May 23, 2008

Filed under: life — Rebekah Sanders @ 9:33 pm

Right now I’m the only girl in the house. Kait deserted me for a spontaneous sleepover tonight. So, it’s just me and my guys tonight. And actually, Seth fell asleep a little after 7pm. For some reason, he completely freaks out now whenever anyone leaves. It becomes quite the ordeal of hugs and then more hugs and then even more hugs. It started with him doing it with Chip. Which is kind of crazy because Chip comes and goes all day long since he works right next door. And every.single.time. We know there will be crying and carrying on. But tonight, when Elijah left for ball practice, Seth completely freaked out. I think Elijah hugged him three separate times and he still cried. Same with Kait when she left for her friend’s house. And when Daddy left to go pick Elijah up from ball practice? You’d have thought that someone had just pulled a rug out from underneath him. He screamed and carried on and stood at the door for the longest time waiting for his daddy to get home. He was unconsolable. He wouldn’t let me hold him even. Eventually he curled up in his daddy’s chair and cried himself to sleep.
